ブートディスクをGPTへ変換する

CSMを無効としセキュアブートを有効とするには BIOSモードが「UEFI」でなければならない。
msinfo32.exeで確認するとBIOSモードは「レガシ」であった。

これはブートディスクがMBRなのが原因らしい。

基本的にはディスクをGPT形式でフォーマットしOS再インストールし必要らしいが
再インストールしなくてもコマンドによりGPTへの変換ができるらしい。

一か八か、コマンドプロンプト(管理者)で以下コマンドを実行してみる。
mbr2gpt.exe /convert /allowfullOS

C:\WINDOWS\system32>mbr2gpt.exe /convert /allowfullOS

MBR2GPT will now attempt to convert the default book disk.
If conversion is successful the disk can only be booted in GPT mode.
These changes cannot be undone!

MBR2GPT: Validating layout, disk sector size is: 512 bytes
MBR2GPT: Trying to shrink the OS partition

Call WinReReapir to repair WinRE
MBR2GPT: Failed to update ReAgent.xml, please try to  manually disable and enable WinRE.
MBR2GPT: Before the new system can boot properly you need to switch the firmware to boot to UEFI mode!    
  

処理は数分もかからず終了。
なにやら Failed が出ているが・・・
とりあえずWindowsを再起動しUEFI画面を開き、CSMの無効とセキュアブートを有効にし再起動。
Windows 10が正常に起動し安心。

ブートディスクがGPTになっていることを確認。

msinfo32.exeでBIOSモードが「UEFI」となっていることを確認。

PC正常性チェックでWindows 11の要件が満たされていることを確認。

Windows Updateを確認 → なぜかチェック不可・・・

Windows Updateは何日か待てば再度チェックされるのかもしれないが、待つのも面倒なので
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 より Windows 11 Installation Assistant でのアップデートを行った。

しばらく時間かかりそうなので実行したまま就寝。
翌朝にはWindows 11のログイン画面になっていた。

Windows 11 アップデート完了とする。
